$70,000 - $80,000 Annual

We are seeking a caring and motivated Disability Support Worker to join our growing team, supporting participants across Penrith, Tamworth, and Dubbo. The successful candidate will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, wellbeing, and meaningful community participation. 

Key duties include:

  • Provide high-quality disability support in line with individual support plans.
  • Assist participants with daily living activities, community engagement, and social participation.
  • Implement Behaviour Support Plans and Restrictive Practices (if required) under supervision.
  • Provide general emotional support by talking to clients about their needs and listen to their concerns.
  • Assisting clients in their personal and health care by providing support with medication ensuring correct dosages as prescribed, seizure response, and health needs.
  • To be aware of safe working condition and implement secure working practices in all work areas and report potential hazards, incidents and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with participants, families, and external stakeholders to ensure holistic support.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of participant progress and incidents.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Disability Support Worker OR Certificate III in Disability or a closely related qualification.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and NDIS Worker Screening (or ability to obtain).
  • NDIS New Worker Orientation and Induction Modules.
  • Valid Australian work rights.
