As a Carer with Aussie Care 24/7, you will work with clients in their homes or community settings, providing tailored care services, building strong relationships, and enhancing the quality of life of the people you support.

Task & responsibilities

• Provide personalised support and assistance with daily living activities, including personal care (bathing, grooming, mobility)
• Assist clients with meal preparation, feeding support, and dietary needs
• Support safe transfers, mobility, and movement as required
• Administer medication or support clients with medication routines under approved care plans
• Engage clients in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities
• Maintain client confidentiality, dignity, and privacy at all times
• Monitor and document client progress, incidents, and behavioural changes
• Follow care plans, risk assessments, and safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care coordination team
• Attend team meetings, training sessions, and comply with organisational policies

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability) highly regarded
• Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or related care role preferred
• Understanding of care standards, person-centred approaches, and duty of care principles
• Current Australian work rights and relevant background checks (e.g., Police Check)
• Current working with vulnerable people check or equivalent (State specific)
• First Aid and CPR certification desirable
• Reliable, empathetic, and patient-focused with strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
