Residential Officer – Supported Independent Living & Mental Health (MULTIPLE POSITIONS REQUIRED)

In these hands‑on roles, you will support participants and mentors to promote independence and social connection, and help maintain a safe, supportive and person‑centred home environment. You will work as part of a team delivering trauma‑informed, strengths‑based support in line with NDIS Practice Standards.

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily living support, including assistance with meals preparation, household tasks and community access
• Support residents to develop life skills, routines and independence in line with individual NDIS goals and support plans
• Ability to demonstrate a positive, openminded and resilient attitude
• Implement behaviour support plans, safeguarding and risk management strategies in line with organisational policies and the NDIS Practice Standards
• Plan and guide mentors to support participants in social and recreational activities promoting quality of life
• Maintain accurate documentation, including shift notes, incident reports and medication records
• Work collaboratively in a supportive transparent values-driven team 

Qualification & experience

About You

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in Disability, Community Services, Mental Health, Youth Work, Individual Support (Disability) or a related qualification
• Experience in residential care, supported independent living, community or mental health support (highly regarded)
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) and Blue Card, or eligibility to obtain in Queensland
• Current unrestricted driver licence 
• Strong understanding of professional boundaries, person‑centred practice and trauma‑informed care
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including accurate documentation
