The role requires working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring the best possible patient outcomesTotal number of positions required: 3 <h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Permanent full-time employment.</li><li>Competitive salary plus superannuation.</li><li>Supportive and collaborative team culture.</li><li>Flexible shift allocations across South Australia.</li><li>Ongoing professional support from our nursing and care coordination team.</li><li>Meaningful and rewarding work that makes a difference in people’s lives.</li></ul> <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3>Patient Care &amp; Support&nbsp;<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="text-align:justify;">Provide high-quality nursing care to elderly residents, ensuring their health and well-being.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Assist residents with daily activities, including hygiene, mobility, dressing, and toileting.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Administer prescribed medications safely and monitor their effects.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Observe and report changes in residents' physical and mental health to the Registered Nurse or medical team.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Support residents with chronic conditions, dementia, and palliative care needs.</li></ul>&nbsp;Clinical Duties<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="text-align:justify;">Perform wound care, catheter care, and other clinical procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Assist with assessments, care planning, and implementation of individualized care plans.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and oxygen levels.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Collect specimens for diagnostic testing as required.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Assist in emergency response situations and provide first aid when necessary.</li></ul>&nbsp;Collaboration &amp; Communication<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="text-align:justify;">Work closely with Registered Nurses, doctors, allied health professionals, and carers to deliver holistic care.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Communicate effectively with residents, families, and caregivers, ensuring their concerns and preferences are acknowledged.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Document care activities, progress notes, and incident reports accurately in compliance with facility policies and regulations.</li></ul>&nbsp;Aged Care Standards &amp; Compliance<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="text-align:justify;">Follow the Aged Care Quality Standards and Australian healthcare regulations.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Maintain infection control and workplace safety protocols.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Participate in accreditation audits, quality improvement programs, and staff training sessions.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Resident Well-being &amp; Support</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a person-centred approach to care.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Encourage residents’ participation in social and recreational activities to enhance their quality of life.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Respect residents' rights, dignity, and cultural preferences.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Training &amp; Professional Development</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Stay updated with industry best practices, aged care policies, and clinical guidelines.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Support and mentor junior staff and care workers as required</li></ul> <h3>Qualification & experience</h3><ul><li>Diploma of Nursing or Higher qualification</li><li>Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).</li><li>At least 12 months of full-time work experience or equivalent part time or casual basis in Aged</li><li>Care or related healthcare field is required.</li><li>Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certifications.</li><li>Up-to-date COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations.</li><li>Valid Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable, registered vehicle.</li><li>Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Strong commitment to professional standards, confidentiality, and client safety.</li></ul>
